Hello world!

Why ‘Commodification of Life’?

I suppose it sums up my worst nightmares for this blog, and I like irony.

To explain further, this blog is going to be a sprawling mess of inconsequential trains of thought that normally just sit in my head and span my entire worldly understanding as a Pakeha cis male that grew up in Wellington and moved to Auckland and spent the entirety of his life amongst Western systems and beliefs.

This is my perspective on ‘Life’.

As for ‘Commodification’ – I think the word ‘commodity’ is a dull economic term that expresses everything worthy of value as a dull, impersonal, transactional object that emerges when you apply a large-scale systematic framework to life.

Applying large systematic analytical frameworks to life seems to strip the life out of life.

This is something I want to avoid.
